Shared Experiences From Patient Groups in Various Therapeutic Areas on Meeting the Needs of their Patient Population

As cancer is more and more a longer-term management issue for patients and caregivers, it is becoming critical to increase patient participation through specific groups that provide opportunities to foster partnerships. The session presented learnings and case studies from patient groups from different therapeutic areas demonstrating ways in which patient groups can impact the longer-term issues faced by patients with chronic disease.

This satellite session at the 2008 World Cancer Congress was made possible through the generous support of Novartis Oncology.
