Lynda Bloom, President and CEO, M.Sc., P Geo.
Ms. Bloom brings more than 30 years of experience in the mining industry to her role at Halo Resources. As President and CEO of Halo she is responsible for providing the company’s overall strategic vision and oversees the Company’s aggressive development and exploration programs. After earning a M.Sc. at Queen's University in Geological Sciences, Ms. Bloom gained experience as an exploration geochemist planning and interpreting geochemical surveys across Canada, South America and Africa. She is recognized as a world-expert on assay methods and has traveled extensively worldwide to review sampling and analytical procedures. Ms. Bloom has over 15 years of public company experience. She is an active member of the global mining community serving as a director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada since 2005. She recently completed her term as Chair of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy-Toronto Branch and is a past councilor of the Association of Exploration Geochemists and the Geological Association of Canada. In addition she serves on government advisory boards (CANMET Reference Material Program, Ontario Geological Survey Technical Committee reporting to the Advisory Board). |
